Plan the work around your daily life.
Lakewood remains part of Mario’s service area, with the business now based in Yelm. If you will stay in the home during flooring work, access and room use belong in the conversation from the beginning.
Plan around an occupied home
For hardwood floor refinishing, discuss furniture removal, access between rooms, ventilation, and when the floor can be used again. Drying and curing depend on the finish system and conditions; there is no universal return-to-use timetable.
Read preparing for refinishing and mention any pets, essential room access, or furniture that requires special arrangements. Confirm dust-management methods and preparation responsibilities rather than assuming them.
Match the treatment to the problem
Localized board damage may call for repair & restoration before finish work. Share the history of any moisture issue and whether the source has been addressed.
For new installation, discuss how removing the existing flooring and preparing the subfloor would affect the room. Product choices, transitions, and floor height should be considered together.
Arrange your Lakewood project
Provide your location, the rooms involved, photographs, and preferred timing. Explain which spaces must remain accessible so Mario can discuss the assessment and project arrangements with that in mind.
