Start with what sits beneath the floor.
Frederickson is included in Mario’s service area. From his Yelm base, Mario can discuss a new floor or the condition of an existing one. For a new installation, the visible boards are only part of the decision.
Match the product to the installation conditions
With hardwood floor installation, discuss the subfloor type, moisture conditions, room layout, and the manufacturer’s installation requirements. Do not assume every solid or engineered product is suitable for every room or substrate.
If you have shortlisted flooring, share its specifications rather than just a color photograph. Our solid versus engineered wood guide outlines useful questions about construction and room conditions.
Consider what you can keep
An existing floor with a tired finish may be a candidate for refinishing. Its remaining sanding surface and previous treatments matter, particularly with engineered flooring.
If boards are damaged, uneven, or moving, explore repair & restoration before choosing a new finish. Describe any known moisture incident and whether the cause has been addressed.
Plan your Frederickson assessment
Include your property location, the rooms involved, and photographs of the floor and connecting surfaces. If you do not know the subfloor type or flooring history, say so; that is information to establish, not a reason to guess.
